We urge believers to prioritize God's Word over man as the inerrant source and go-to resource for last days prophecies because the Word provides us with a complete prophetic account of everything that we need to know about the last days.

AS BORN AGAIN BELIEVERS IN CHRIST, GOD WANTS US TO UNDERSTAND BIBLE PROPHECY
Tribulation Timeline discusses the last days but more than that, it is about the sovereignty of God in prophecy, the deity of Christ in all things and the counsel of the Holy Spirit that illuminates the Word.
There is common misconception that only pastors, academics and theologians can understand Bible prophecy. On the contrary, IF you belong to the Lord, you can hear His voice (John 10:27). Leave it to God as to how He will bless you with spiritual wisdom, knowledge and understanding but our responsibility is take the first step because the Lord is always ready. The operative word is IF ... IF we are willing, IF we have great desire, IF will put in the effort and IF are prepared to invest our time in His Word.
WHY HAS TRIBULATION TIMELINE BEEN WRITTEN?
To urge believers to prioritize the Word over man, as the inerrant source and go-to resource for last days prophecies.
There are many well-intentioned teachings and commentaries about Bible prophecy and events but not many people have the special anointing that Jer 3:15 speaks of. The Lord appoints pastors who are men after God's own heart to feed us with knowledge and understanding of His Word. In doctrinally sound Bible teachers such as Ps John MacArthur, Ps John Barnett and Dr Baruch Korman who care for the souls of men, we have very God-fearing pastors. Having said that, we first and foremost have a personal responsibility to spend our own quiet time in the Word.
The Word is the wellspring of wisdom, knowledge and understanding (Prov 2:6) but for far too long, many Christians have been too passive and have not pro-actively deep dived into the Bible. For most part, they are content to rely on whatever is preached from the pulpit and have little further interest to verify the accuracy of what is taught, or to try and discover the depth of God's message in a particular passage. An uninterested student with the best teacher will not make much progress and so we should pray for our hearts to be fired up by the Holy Spirit (Luke 24:32).
To encourage believers to go to God's Word because it provides us with a complete prophetic account of everything that we need to know about the last days.
There is nothing esoteric, obscure or puzzling about Biblical prophecy. In Old Testament times, God used the prophets to prophesy to Israel. Today, God still speaks to His people, but it is through Jesus in His Word (Heb 1:1-3).
Biblical prophecy is not meant to cause anxiety or fear but to remind us that God is sovereign over all prophetic events; past, present and future. We are given in advanced, knowledge about the future to enable us to lay hold of the prophecies and equip ourselves according to the Word. Every single Bible prophecy will definitely come to pass at the appointed time during which, we may be the ones living in that particular time.
There might be distressing prophetic events that we will have to face but when we are built up in our faith in Christ, He will give us the grace and counsel to carry us through even the most uncertain times. We will not be easily shaken by what we witness. There are end time events that will unfold in a particular generation and as things are, there is high probability that we or our children will be the Last Days generation.
To encourage believers to inculcate discernment by rightly dividing the Word.
How do bank staff discern real cash from counterfeit cash? They do so by handling cash daily and confirming its authenticity through regular touch and feel. Similarly, when a Christian handles the Word regularly, he will be able to discern absolute Truth from one that is sprinkled with deception or compromise.
True lovers of the Word do not want to be led astray by poor teaching or hoodwinked by false and demonic doctrines about the last days. Adulteration of the Word and deception will only lead a person to a path with disastrous consequences. Tragically, the Holy Spirit speaks expressively that "in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;" (1 Tim 4:1).
The very first warning from Jesus at the Olivet Discourse when asked about His Second Coming is to "take heed that no man deceive you." That says a lot about the importance of discerning to avoid the seductive prophecies by self-appointed modern day 'prophets' and 'apostles'. For this, here are a couple of helpful instructions from the Bible.
ALL 66 BOOKS OF THE BIBLE INCLUDING THE BOOK OF REVELATION ARE HOLY SPIRIT INSPIRED
Revelation is especially important for its prophetic richness. We can appreciate God's sovereign greatness in its passages. Some don't read it because they say that it is not preached in church. Others say it is too difficult to read or is too complicated to understand. It is true that God gives us free will to choose but we have to dispel the notion that man can decide which of the passages in the Bible are more important and which are less important, and which are to be read and which can be left out. Did you know that Revelation is the only book that explicitly declares a double blessing, once in the first chapter and once in the last chapter appropriately as two bookends?
We extend a warm welcome to you as you journey with us on this site. Feel free to share your comments. It is truly our joy that we can be united by our mutual love for God the Father, Jesus Christ His Son and His work at the Cross, and the Holy Spirit sent to indwell in us with the most important message of God's love, that we are reconciled with God through Christ Jesus.

Sno | Verses | Remarks |
1 | "Now the serpent was more subtil ... And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said ... But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil ... she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. And the eyes of them both were opened, ... And the Lord God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed ... And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel." Gen 3:1-7,14-15 | If we could go back in time to the garden of Eden and hand a Bible to Adam, he would be amazed at all the events that God has documented for mankind for the thousands of years to come. There will be prophecies of event upon event, written in advance in an infallible book called the Bible. The first prophecy is in verse 15 when God pronounced the enmity placed by Him between the enemy and man which will last for thousands of years until Satan is finally thrown into the lake of fire (Rev 19:20). Adam would read of the global consequences across generations resulting from his one 'small' sin; Noah's flood, the choosing of Israel out of the world, the redemption of sinners through the Lamb at the Cross, the birth of the church, a great war between light and darkness through time until the final victory over Satan, death and hell by the King of Kings Jesus Christ is accomplished. |
2 | "Surely the Lord God does nothing, Unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets ... The Lord God has spoken! Who can but prophesy?" Amos 3:7-8 | Before the Bible was given to man, God warned the Jews by way of prophets. Today, we have the written Word and therein, every prophecy is already made known. Prophecies that come to pass is God's way of affirming the infallibility of His Word. Prophecies also teach us life lessons about mankind and prepares us for what is to come. We are familiar with 'open book examinations' where as students, we are allowed to refer to class notes, textbooks and approved material that help us to answer the questions before us. The Bible is an open book. We can refer to the Word for answers to our many questions but more than that, we are the blessed ones whose eyes have been opened by the Lord and now have in our hands a total picture of mankind's history - past, present and future. |
3 | "Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like Me, Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure:" Isa 46:9-10 "I have declared the former things from the beginning; and they went forth out of My mouth, and I shewed them; I did them suddenly, and they came to pass." Isa 48:3 |
Whatever God has declared, He will do. We can be certain of that. It is not just for us to be in the know but for us to respond pro-actively in accordance to the guidance God offers in the Word and by the counsel of the Holy Spirit. |
4 | "We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost." 2 Peter 1:19-21 | Bible prophecy is trustworthy. It is God's light in a dark place that guides us safely unto the place that He brings us to. God's prophetic Word familiarizes us for a journey on a route we will be taking for the first time. It is a directional roadmap with all essential information rolled into one to help us navigate with eyes wide open. |
5 | "But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men." 1 Cor 14:3 | The Word of God has prophecies with wide ranging purpose; from words of encouragement and hope for God's people, to words of terror and wrath that go out as a warning to unrepentant sinners. Even when Bible prophecies such as wars and pestilences are inevitable, we are set at ease by our God who is sovereign and in total control of every event. Bible prophecy instructs and implores us to get ready for the unfolding events of the coming days. |
6 | "Do not despise prophecies, but test everything; hold fast what is good." 1 Thess 5:20-21 | Today, we are just a click away from modern day prophecies that are not Biblically supported. Just as the best counterfeit bank notes are difficult to detect, many self-appointed 'apostles' and 'prophets' are subtly deceptive to spread their falsehoods (2 Cor 11:13-15). Any prophecy that has no foundation in the Bible should be treated as suspicious from the start. Even if it sounds like it came straight out of the Bible or is presented as "Thus saith the Lord", we must actively engage the Holy Spirit to lead us into all Truth. Many 'mature' Christians who have journeyed with God will also know the way the Lord speaks to you out of His Word. |
7 | "Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will shew you things to come." John 16:13 | The Lord has warned us about the deception of false teachers and of false prophets disguised as "apostles of Christ" and "ministers of righteousness" (2 Cor 11:13-15). The true Christian wishes to hear both the 'good news' as well as the 'bad news' where prophecy is concerned, because both have their purpose for being in the Bible. What is the use of a false 'good news' prophecy that tickles the ears but does not come to pass and amounts to nothing but a waste of time at the very least, but at its very worst can cause untold damaging consequences. |
