Jesus was physically there with the disciples and yet they asked of a future of "Thy coming". They were simple folk but were astutely aware of Old Testament prophecies about the End Times and the return of Yeshua Hamashiach, Jesus the Messiah, to establish His Kingdom on earth. The Jews as a people were looking to a day when the promised return of their Messiah would take place. This prophecy was passed from one generation to the next.
This Topic is best read in the context of Section 'TT3. The Tribulation Time of Jacob's Trouble' for the complete picture. The Tribulation is also known as "the time of Jacob's trouble" in Jer 30:7 and Daniel's 70th week (Dan 9:24-27) emphasizes that Israel and the Jews will be a huge part of God's End Times redemptive plan. This will be marked by a 7 year Tribulation and the three and half year Great Tribulation at the midpoint of the Tribulation. This will be an unavoidable but critical period that Israel will enter out of which a remnant will be redeemed to be the people of God, thus fulfilling His covenant with Israel (Deut 14:2) |

When asked about the events prior to His return, Jesus answered in great detail in what is known as the Olivet Discourse, he provided prophetic signposts with directness, clarity and purpose as regards "the sign of Thy (Second) Coming" and "of the end of the world" for us in our present time to take heed.
However, we are not to be too pre-occupied with the End Times but are at the same time prompted to find a fine balance where we live our daily lives sensibly while going about with eyes wide opened to opportunities and hearts ready to reach the lost with the Good News. We will need to build our faith and relationship with Christ in preparation for the coming days when we will be resisted for speaking about Jesus (John 15:19).
To our unsaved neighbors, we are commissioned and commanded by the Lord to share the Gospel of Salvation. One day, the Great Commission will be completely fulfilled and defines a specific moment which answers "the end of the world" in the disciples' question about Christ's Second Coming (Matt 24:3). |

The last hour that is linked to "the end" in Jesus' reply (Matt 24:14) signals the appearance of a man that will be possessed by Satan to do his bidding. He is the Antichrist to be revealed on the world stage. At the 1,260 Jewish calendar day midpoint of the 7-year Tribulation, he will be the abomination that causes desolation (Matt 24:15) marking Daniel's prophecy (Dan 12:1) as the worst time in mankind's history that the world will experience. It will be a time of God's fullest wrath to come upon Christ rejectors in that generation who will follow the Antichrist. |

The world is fallen and corrupt. Even within the Christian landscape, there are many cultural 'Christians' who are not born again but who simply adhere to Christian values and appreciate Christian culture such is the case in much of Europe. They profess to be Christians but have not truly acknowledged the need for salvation through Jesus' atoning sacrifice and blood at the Cross. Many people think that they are good and will enter heaven based on their merit, 'civilized' behavior and 'good' works or charity. They do not realize that man are sinners at birth and already possess the traits listed in Col 3:4-6. Many people justify their human nature. Covetousness is framed as competitiveness, ambition, reward and survival of the fittest. Sexual immorality and passion is framed as the freedom to 'love' and personal human rights. God in His righteousness and holiness sees differently. "On account of these, the WRATH of God is coming."
2 Tim 3:1-8 expands the list that God will judge the world for. Nothing surprising about the sin nature which manifests as 'normal' behavior that is evident all around us. This is in and of itself significant as it means that we are already living in the lat days of perilous times. Take special note that people are lovers of pleasure and have no desire to seek God. They do not seek the truth but seek a form of religiosity where they don't want to adhere to God's holy and righteous standards. As a result, they keep learning but never come to the knowledge of the truth. In effect, man in their corruption has invited God's judgment upon themselves. |

Can an unsaved person plead innocence through ignorance when standing before God at the great white throne? Can this person claim immunity if he was not given the opportunity to hear the Gospel. Rom 1:19-20 says that no one can be excused because God's fingerprint is clearly evident in all of creation and especially the miracle of man birthed as living beings with a soul and intellect. Man did not evolve from primates or single cell organisms or else there will still be traces of primates evolving today into man. The world was not conceived in an evolutionary process 4.5 billion years ago as put forward by the California Institute of Technology and suddenly stop evolving. The oceans do not overflow the land and the sun, moon and solar system are held in place and do not go off course from one day to the next. The fact is that man is too proud to glorify God but readily glorifies their achievements in science, technology, innovation and invention. |

We were not at birth born again Christian infants and God calls us to repent of our sins in order to see the Kingdom of God (John 3:3). Every person who has put on Christ, should not live as we once did: in darkness, ignorant and spiritually blind. The preaching of the Cross is foolishness to those who are perishing (1 Cor 1:18). When the time comes and they are on earth, these are they who will enter the Great Tribulation wrath of God. |

THE SEVEN SEALS OF REVELATION |

"10 for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost. 11 Now as they heard these things, He spoke another parable, because He was near Jerusalem and because they (the disciples) thought the kingdom of God would appear immediately ... 15 And so it was that when He returned, having received the kingdom," Luke 19:10-11,15 |
What was "that which was lost" (Luke 19:10) and when did it happen? When Adam and Eve sinned by eating the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil, chaos ensued (Gen 3:17).
1. The first Adam was supposed to be the model of sinless man but that was no longer the case.
2. Sin separated man from God and the intimacy of the relationship was broken (Gen 3:24).
3. Sinless man in the glorious Garden of Eden could not be scaled up throughout the earth. Instead the earth started to bear the full weight and consequences of the curse, what we see today in various manifestations including what scientists call climate change.
For as long as man is on earth, God is "not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9). Reconciliation between man and God has become Jesus' most important mission. Jesus, the Son of God, came as sinless man and as God stepping off His throne in heaven, to be crucified at the Cross and to shed His blood as the propitiation for man's sin so that, "that which was lost" could be restored. When believers are born again, we are not only reconciled to God, His Spirit now indwells as an assurance of our salvation in Christ.
The model of the Garden of Eden will be restored at Christ's Second Coming when He sets up the Millennial Kingdom. Where God once walked in the cool of the evening 6,000 years ago, God will be bodily walking amongst His glorified saints and the new citizen-sheep over whom He is both King and High Priest. Everyone during that 1,000 year reign of Christ on earth, will see Him and know that this is Jesus Christ, the one true God. |

The Fall of man occured when Adam and Eve sinned. God foresaw this event when He gave man a conscience and with it, the choice to obey or disobey. Did the Fall disrupt God's plan and roadmap for man? Not at all. God is God and He had planned and ordained everything ahead of time, way before the earth wss formed. God had ordained restoration and reconciliation of man and God through His Son Jesus.
The book that is sealed with 7 Seals are 7 phases of a passage of time showing sequential events. Like a book with a story, one page with a set of events must be opened in order to go to the next page and so forth until the story is complete at the very last word that the author has written. The prophesied redemption of Gentile and Jewish sinners as well as the rightful ownership of the earth to God are accounts that are part of the whole story.
Only Jesus is worthy to open the book. As He unseals the 7 Seals one at a time, each phase is bad news for sinful man that gets worse with time until it reaches its climax in the day of the Lord. The 7 Seals and events contained therein are in totality, God's judgment being unpacked with the angels announcing with 7 Trumpets and pouring 7 Vials of God's wrath upon God and Christ-rejecting man. Both the worst and the best news occurs at the end of the Tribulation when Christ returns.
Antichrist followers will be damned to eternal fire. The righteous 'sheep' people who by their works and rejection of the mark of the beast, display the strongest evidence of their acknowledgement of the one true God. Together with the Raptured believers having their glorified bodies who return with the Lord, we will enter the Millennial Kingdom set up on earth with Jerusalem as the Lord's throne and HQ for a 1,000 years to rule the nations.

Is there an actual point in time when the Lamb opens the First Seal? The rider on the white horse is a counterfeit religious figure that goes out into the world to convey what appears to be divine truth to life's matters and the afterlife. We know that religious deception has been around for as long as man and belief systems have been on earth which means that the First Seal has already been opened. 2 Tim 3:5 describes this as, "Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof:" So yes, religion is part and parcel of global public life and this includes cultural Christianity.
Various religions acknowledge the existence of God but reject the notion that God has a Son whom He sent to earth to be the propitiation for our sins (1 John 2:2). Religious deception will only intensify in the last days within the church. This is brought about by false teachers and false prophets. The Lord's first warning in Matt 24:4 when asked about the sign of the His Second Coming and end of the world is about the impersonation of Christ. Once a Seal is opened, it remains open and events attached to that Seal must run its full course and intensify as the days leadning to Christ's return approach. |

And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword." Is the Second Seal already open? Peace has eluded the world for as long as historians have compiled records of civilizations. Wars have been fought between tribes, between kingdoms and between empires and in the last century, there has been two world wars and the first use of a nuclear device. People have been killing one another by any means. Today, man has more killing power at the press of a button than all the centuries before that. The nuclear arsenal is technologically highly advanced to ensure that any strike on a country will be most lethal and precise to achieve maximum destruction of lives. The Second Seal cannot be re-sealed with treaties and handshakes. By the time the Fourth Seal is opened, billions will perish and the 13,000 nuclear weapons will be one of man's main instruments that will cause the misery. |

And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine." Rev 6:5-6 |
Is the Third Seal already opened? In the last 100 years and time before that, there have been dreadful famines though much of it has been localized. Notable examples include the famine in China in 1907 that killed 25,000,000 people and again in 1958 when 30,000,000 died. When famines occur in major agricultural producing countries, the cost of food will surely increase and the world has so far managed to mitigate for this. However, a time will come when famines intensify and food production and supplies can be compounded by pandemic, pest and war. Global prices will be so severe that staples for a meal will cost a day's wages. In modern terms this will be hyper-inflation at its worst where food supply is disrupted and the world's 8,000,000,000 population needs to be fed. |

"When he opened the FOURTH SEAL, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, “Come!” And I looked, and behold, a pale horse! And its rider's name was Death, and Hades followed him. And they were given authority over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by wild beasts of the earth." Rev 6:7-8 |
The Fourth Seal sums up the consequences of God's judgment unleashed upon sinful Christ-rejecting people and these do not yet take into account the opening of the Fifth to Seventh Seals. False religion and spiritual deception in the First Seal blinds people in their sin as they reject the truth of Jesus as Savior. As a result, they are not shielded from God's judgment that befalls the world. Those whose names are not found in the Lamb's Book of Life, will be subjected to the various judgments in the next three seals and perish.
The most telling point that the four seals are God's judgment is summed up with the words, "its rider's name was Death, and Hades followed him. And they were given authority over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, and with famine and with pestilence and by wild beasts of the earth." Based on the world's current population, some 2,000,000,000 (2 billion) people will be killed. Only God can wield the authority for such a scale of death and destruction to take place. |

"And when He had opened the FIFTH SEAL, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled." "Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is Mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good." Rom 12:17-21 |
Is God contradicting Himself in Rev 6:9-11 and Rom 12:17-21 where he tells us not to repay evil with evil and not to harbor thoughts of revenge? Not at all. Here on earth, we who are believers were once enemies of Christ (Rom 5:10) spiritually blind and lost. Just as we have received grace and forgiveness in Christ, we should extend the same even to the enemies of Christ and leave to God how He will judge everyone who does not respond to the Gospel of Salvation.
In Rev 6:9-10, the scene is set in heaven. The martyrs are now saved souls without sin. Their collective demand for revenge is borne out of the same righteousness and justice as their Lord and not out of sinful spite and carnality of the fallen human state. The enemies of the martyrs dwelling on earth have become the enemies of God (John 15:18-24) as the church age of grace ends. God does not silence the martyrs. Instead, He tells them He will avenge their blood and for them to be patient while He keeps count of the many more to be martyred until the last soul is counted. |

"And I beheld when he had opened the SIXTH SEAL, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of Him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of His wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?" The judgment events from the previous seals continue. God had used the wickedness of man to self-destruct as well as the devastating 'natural' elements of God's creation. Now the wrath of God becomes apparent to the world with the opening of the Sixth Seal. These comprise the 7 Trumpets when the Seventh Seal is opened (Rev 8:1-6) and thereafter, the 7 Vials of God's wrath.
The Sixth Seal marks the day of the Lord when the inhabitants of the earth will no doubt know that the terror befalling them is inflicted by God (Rev 19:11-21) and is obviously supernatural and cannot be dismissed with claims of climate change, natural disasters or actions of rogue leaders. People of every social and income strata, meaning everyone alive on earth at that point, will experience the most frightening events in creation; in the skies, on the seas and on all land. They want to hide in every possible way but there is no escape.
To put it into perspective, the day of the Lord's wrath is not confined to a single day but will be over a space of time by way of the 7 Trumpets and the 7 Vials of wrath, starting with the blowing of the First Trumpet at some point during the rule of the Antichrist and the False Prophet in the second half of the 7-year Tribulation. |

The Seventh Seal opens to a sombre period. If you are alive in the generation to witness the frightening outcome from the first four seals, get on your knees, repent and pray hard that you will not to have to go through the 7 Trumpets and 7 Vials of God's wrath. That is why, we plead with you if you are not yet a born again Christian, to heed the Gospel of Salvation through Jesus Christ and seek God for the truth. Only the one true God, the Creator of the heavens and the earth, can set you free from spiritual bondage to enter eternal life in His Kingdom. |

THE 7 TRUMPETS OF THE GREAT TRIBULATION |

"And when He had opened the SEVENTH SEAL, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour. And I saw the SEVEN ANGELS which stood before God; and to them were given SEVEN TRUMPETS. And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand. And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake. And the SEVEN ANGELS which had the SEVEN TRUMPETS prepared themselves to sound." Rev 8:1-6 |
When the Seventh Seal is opened, it marks the beginning of God's wrath and the plagues that will mercilessly pummel the whole world in rebellion against the God of Jacob and Jesus of the Christians. It also marks God's response to the cry for vengeance by the souls under the altar in Rev 6:10. Seven angels are summoned before God to begin the plagues. The souls of the martyrs crying out to God for righteous judgment and revenge is fulfilled from this point onwards.
If you are alive in the generation to witness the start of these events, cry out to God with a repentant heart before it is too late to be saved. Do not be one of the horde of Antichrist followers, blaspheming God as the impact of one plague upon another is fully felt, tormenting all present on earth. |

"And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with Him an hundred forty and four thousand, having His Father's name written in their foreheads ... 4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever He goeth. None will be able to withstand God's wrath (Rev 6:17) except those sealed by God for Himself. He will use the Antichrist's rampage to bring about an unprecedented harvest of Jews and Gentiles. Just as Jesus first went to the Jews, God redeems 144,000 virgin Jewish men from among men (Rev 7:4) consisting 12,000 each from the 12 tribes of Israel as the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.
In John's vision, he sees Jesus on Mount Sion (Zion). The 144,000 have become part of the Lord's personal entourage. This suggests that the 144,000 are not evangelists released into Israel and/or the world as is popularly taught. Anyway, the Bible is silent about this and how they are sealed as people and are next to the Lamb on Mount Sion, obviously preserved for the Millennial Kingdom. Mount Sion (Zion) signifies Jerusalem, the Jewish Temple, the holy land and is a prelude to the new Jerusalem that will descend from heaven at the end of 'earth time' as we know it. |

Rev 14:6-7 is God's worldwide 'last call' broadcast in every language before His judgment so that the inhabitants of the earth are without excuse. The one true God is identified as the Almighty Creator of heaven and earth (Gen 1:1) and this harks back to Rom 1:18-23 which judges man for denying the truth and evidence of God's creation that is evident all around. Note that the angel is proclaiming in a loud voice which means that everyone, even the deaf, will hear the gospel message. The angel is God's global evangelist and fulfills Matt 24:14 "And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come." |

John is given a measuring rod that prophetically speaks of the third temple to be rebuilt in Jerusalem. However, the outer court will be treaded upon by Gentile feet for three and half years, a prophecy that unclean feet will trample temple grounds. This corresponds with the same period when the Antichrist rules the world and the Gentiles will be in control of the land and are free to step where they want to
The Two Witneesses are clothed in sackcloth which signifies grief and mourning for the world's sorry state, They will prophesy God's judgment and wrath just as the plagues are poured upon the world during the Great Tribulation. Many Christians believe that Enoch and Elijah are front runners for the Two Witnesses given that they were supernaturally taken up to heaven alive and have not known earthly death. |

Greenery which is a vital source of oxygen, represents Life just as there was a Tree of Life in the Garden of Eden. However, the world has rejected Eternal Life through Jesus. God's wrath speaks to man's pride when the first angel sounds the First Trumpet. . Fiery hailstones mixed with the blood of the martyrs rains down upon the earth and burns up one third of the world's trees and all green grass. Green landscape in cities and built-up population centres will witness fire everywhere. Central park in New York will be up in flames. Fires will rage in the Amazon rainforest; the lungs of the planet will choke with smoke. The skies over every country will be covered by thick ash and soot across the world. Annual wildfires in places like California, Australia and Russia will pale in comparison.
This is the first image of a world on fire that precedes the Lake of Fire. Christians who spend much of their time as climate change advocates should start to seriously think whether their time is better spent saving souls instead of saving trees. Any professing Christian who thinks "trees first, souls can wait" should look at this scenario and know the situation is dire. |

Marine plants and plant-like organisms are the other major source of the earth's oxygen for life to flourish. The rejection of Christ's life giving sacrifice brings about the Second Trrumpet judgment.
The planet's oceans make up two thirds of the earth's surface equivalent to 361,000,000 sq km or 139,000,000 sq miles. One third of the waters will be turned to blood. Ocean currents will carry the contamination to the rest of the oceans. Picture a sea of blood instead of blue oceans that were once teeming with marine life and sounds of laughter in coastal towns after the day's bountiful catch. The oceans and seas that provide much needed food for entire cities will immediately be a mess of coagulated blood. People will not dare to consume seafood even from waters that are further away. Contamination will be everywhere. .
To date, there is nothing quite like this where ocean life is wiped out. The world's largest oil spill will look like a drop in the ocean when compared to the Second Trumpet judgment to come. |

Man has rejected the living waters of God in salvation in Christ. The Third Trumpet announces God's judgment on drinking water. The general medical rule is that man cannot survive without drinking water beyond four days. One third of drinking water resources will be poisoned by a meteor called Wormwood. Stockpiled bottled water will be used up within a matter of days and soon, large population centres will perish from lack of drinking water as though in a desert. People will violently turn on one another for a drop of water. The military will be deployed to guard fresh water sources which will become more precious and valuable than gold. |

The Fourth Trumpet brings about chaos at night and the day as the sun, moon and stars will not show their natural light. Waves, tides and the weather will be disrupted. In the overcast skies, an angel flies about proclaiming three woes to be announced by the remaining three angels and the trumpets they are about to sound. |

The First Woe takes place when the Fifth Trumpet sounds. Those sealed by God will be protected from His judgment. An angel opens the bottomless pit to release demonic locusts led by their king, a fallen angel called Abaddon aka Apollyon. On the one hand these locusts possess earthly tendencies and characteristics in that they are told not to hurt the grass and trees (Rev 9:4) but unlike their six-legged counterparts, they will attack and sting people and torment them with the poison of scorpions but the people cannot die. The agonizing pain will cause men to seek death and even try to take their own lives but it escapes them during a five month period.
If you are reading this when millions of demonic locusts are covering the earth and not one has stung you, it is in all likelihood that you are sealed by God. Be truly thankful and worship Him, abide in Him and pray His guidance through the rest of the woes.
In Rev 20:1-3, God's angel chains Satan and imprisons him in the bottomless pit for the 1,000 years of the Millennial Kingdom. Given that the locusts came out of the bottomless pit, and this is where Satan is chained during the Millennial Kingdom reign of Christ on earth, it means that the worst of the worst demonic entities such as Abaddon are detained there by God, for such a time when His wrath is unleashed. |

The Sixth Trumpet introduces the Second Woe. God releases four bound angels to pave the way for a 200,000,000 man army with the capacity and speed to spread across the continents. Whether they are a human or supernatural army is not revealed and it is mind boggling to even try and apply this to modern day warfare. China has the largest active military force and it stands at just over 2,000,000 which is a mere 1% of the Second Woe army. This End Time army will possess the power to kill one third of mankind that will still be around following the other plagues. The Bible points to a massive 2.6 billion people that will be killed by fire, smoke and brimstone. It is a slaughter of those found guilty in God's eyes that cannot be redeemed. Every horseman takes the life of some 13 sinners whose names are not written in the Lamb's Book of Life. Death on earth is not the end as the Lake of Fire awaits at the Great White Throne judgment of Christ.
By this time the inhabitants of the earth know that the one true God is the God of Jacob. Their appeal to their respective gods and idols will come to nothing. All their so-called gods and divine entities cannot protect them from the plagues sent by God. Despite this, they remain hardened and unrepentant. They bring judgment and eternal damnation upon themselves.

When exactly will God's Two Witnesses begin their proclamation from Jerusalem is not stated but it is close to or directly coincides with the time of Antichrist and his demands to take God's place of worship in Jerusalem the centre of Jewish worship to God (Rev 11:8). For such a time, they prophesy God's coming judgment which will for most of the world fall on deaf ears. This will not be in vain because God is giving the last call to repent and turn to God, away from the Antichrist. The fact that they can walk around unharmed by anyone, not even the Antichrist, says it all; they are ambassadors of God and are divinely protected and yet the world cannot see it and do not fear God. They have 1,260 Jewish calendar days (three and half years) to complete their mission during which they are unstoppable and have the power to smite the earth with all plagues.
So far, we know of a fallen angel called Abaddon aka Apollyon that came out of the bottomless pit at the sounding of the Fourth Trumpet. This means that the First to Third Trumpets are sounded in a very short period because if Abaddon is the beast in Rev 11:7, it is the one permitted by God to have its minions kill the Two Witnesses. So-called victory over the Two Witnesses is short-lived and in three and half days, a form of Rapture takes place where they stood up and ascended to heaven in full view of everyone. |

The Seventh and final Trumpet introduces the Third Woe. This Trumpet also heralds in the soon Second Coming of Jesus to punish the unsaved, those whose names are not written in the Lambs Book of Life unsaved and to reward His servants and saints at the Bema seat of Christ (2 Cor 5:10). The earth will be shortly restored to its rightful King, the Lord Jesus Christ. The kingdoms of this world will fall and be replaced by the Lord's Millennial Kingdom rule on earth foretold in Dan 2:44-45. |

The 7 Vials full of God's wrath are the final phase of God's righteous anger that has been stored up for a very, very long time. These plagues will occur one after another in rapid succession as described in Rev 16. |

It is significant to note that THE VERY FIRST PLAGUE is unleashed on those with the mark of the Antichrist beast and who worship his image. God's message is loud and clear. A person is either on the side of Christ or the side of Satan.
The impact of the 7 Trumpets prior to the 7 Vials of God's wrath, had resulted in some turning to Christ. At this point when the 7 Vials start to be poured, most if not all people on earth are Antichrist followers that will be tormented by the plagues. Words cannot describe the agony of the sores that cover a person from head to foot. The torment that Satan inflicted on Job a righteous man of God (Job 1:1) is now returned on the devil's followers.

The main difference between this planet and others in our galaxy is the presence of water, without which life cannot flourish and be sustained. So the second plague strikes at the very heart of life eternal that man has scorned by rejecting Christ. The seas and oceans turn to coagulated blood, contaminated blood drained of life like a dead man. |

From Rev 16:2, God will ensure that there is no relief by any means, medical or otherwise for the excrutiating pain caused by the bodily sores of the first plague. There will be no more clean water left for washing and cleansing let alone to drink. Rev 16:3 and Rev 16:6 points to the application of the Biblical 'eye for an eye' principle. The enemies of God are blood thirsty and God will avenge his saints by giving their persecutors, an abundance of blood for water that they thirst for but cannot consume. |

The highest recorded temperature on earth stands at around 134.0°F or 56.7°C. The 4th Vial will bring about scorching heat that will be way beyond burning heat levels known to man. People can try to escape the heat by locking themselves in an aircon room but when temperatures soar, aircon compressors on buildings will melt and malfunction. One would think that man would break under the weight of these overwhelming plagues but instead, they are hardened beyond repentance and continue to blaspheme God. |

The Fifth Angel strikes at the heart of the beast's supposed power. A throne represents the highest seat of power and authority, and now the seat of the Antichrist beast is cast into darkness. God shows the world that the beast is not as formidable as they think he is when earlier in Rev 13:4 the world boasted, "Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?" |

The 6th Vial is an aspect of the day of the Lord represented in a day of battle when the unholy trinity gathers the armies of the world as a 'United Nations' force to wage war against the Lord at Armageddon. The place called Megiddo is a large area north of Jerusalem that is well suited to ancient and modern day battles. The so-called war will not have two sides exchanging fire over a period of time but will be totally one-sided with only one victor. The gathered global army will be wiped out in less than a second by God's immeasurable power. |

When the 7th Vial is poured, the wrath of God is fulfilled. The world map will be messed up: the continents and islands will be violently shaken out of position. Where the loving gentle Spirit of the Lord rested upon Jesus at His baptism, upon the new Christians at Pentecost and upon all born again believers through the centuries, the 7th Vial is a massive storm of missile-like hail of massive weight and high velocity released from a great height that hit the earth. The world is so lost and deluded that it continues to blaspheme God instead of repent. |

In Rev 16:17, the Lord says, "IT IS DONE". The time comes shortly when the Lord mounts His heavenly horse. The army of heaven will ride with Him from His throne in heaven to set up the throne of His glory (Matt 25:31) here on earth known as the 1,000 year Millennial Kingdom rule of Christ. The citizenship of this Kingdom is formed out of the chosen sheep in Matt 25:31-40 and He will rule with holiness, justice and righteousness. Christ's reign will be a no-nonsense rule described as "a rod of iron" (Rev 19:15). Every expression of Sin will be banned. What is deemed normal and acceptable by today's world standards such as Saturday Night Live and R-rated movies on Netflix will all be abolished. |

In the coming Rapture before the Tribulation, the Lord will take up His bride the church of born again believers and they will return with Him to earth, having glorified bodies just like Christ's and live forever.
During the Tribulation, many Jews and Gentiles will be martyred for Christ and they are will also be eternally saved and added to the Lord (Rev 7:9,13-14).
So who then will make up the citizens of the newly established Millennial Kingdom? They will be human beings and consist of two groups of people. One group will be Gentiles drawn from the nations where God's protection will be upon them as He observes that they risk their lives to help the persecuted Jews. Somehow, by God's grace, they will not succumb to taking the mark of the beast. The other group will be the remnant Jews that God delivers from the Antichrist. These will enter the Millennial Kingdom as its new citizens and they will continue life on earth but in conditions and an environment that looks like the restored garden of Eden. |

Then I said I would pour out My fury on them in the wilderness, to consume them ... 20 hallow My Sabbaths, and they will be a sign between Me and you, that you may know that I am the Lord your God. 21 “Notwithstanding, the children rebelled against Me; they did not walk in My statutes, and were not careful to observe My judgments, ‘which, if a man does, he shall live by them’; but they profaned My Sabbaths. The Sabbath command forms the backstory for the Jews in the Tribulation. We trace the time from when Israel, chosen of God, was commanded in Gen 2:2-3 to observe the Sabbath. God designated the 7th day of His creation as a Sabbath day of rest, blessed and sanctified. This was incorporated into the 10 Commandments as the 4th commandment (Exo 20:8-11) not to be broken.
On Mount Sinai, God commanded Israel to apply the principle of the Sabbath in their agricultural practices in the Promised Land that they would occupy. God promised to make the land supernaturally fertile so that it would produce plentiful crop for themselves and their farm animals. On the 6th year of crop, they will have an abundant harvest to cover the 7th Sabbath year of rest as well as for the 8th year thereafter as the seed planted at the start of that year would take time to grow to a full crop.
They saw the evidence of God's promise as their harvest was multiplied. In today's context, it is equivalent to receiving salary for the next 24 months at the end of the 6th year of employment and being told to take paid leave for the entire 7th year and not have to worry about the 8th year. However, they continued to grow and harvest crop during the Sabbath year. In other words, Israel blatantly and without reverent fear of the Lord, ignored Him and "greatly defiled" and despised His covenant with them. God kept count of the years of rebellion and the total amounted to 490 years, or 70 weeks x 7 days per week, where 1 day represents 1 year of Israel's exile. As of today, God has left 1 week yet to be fulfilled and this will be a week or 7 days equivalent to 7 Jewish calendar years of the time of the Tribulation. |

Untll the Tribulation, the mystery in Rom 11:25 relates to Israel's inability to 'see' that Yeshua, Hebrew for Jesus, is the Old Testament prophesied Mashiach (Messiah) and Savior descended from David. The Jews were the first people to see Yeshua in person and the "kingdom of heaven" was revealed to them when Yeshua began His ministry. This was followed by Paul preaching the Gospel of Salvation and the Apostles' subsequent outreach to the Jews.
Until today, the Jews remain spiritually blind and continue to resist the message of Christ. 2,000 years later, the number of Messianic Jews stands at less than 0.003% or a very tiny one third of 1%, of the 7.2 million Jews in Israel. Israel's spiritual veil and inability to see Yeshua for who He truly is, is the mystery explained. God will use the trials of the Tribulation to open many Jewish eyes in their desperation to escape the Antichrist. Even then, it will not be by works because only those whose names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life will be redeemed. The grace of God that rests upon who is chosen and who is not, is in itself a mystery known only to Him. |

Jerusalem is God's city since ancient times, called by God's Name. That speaks for itself the significance of this old city is to the Lord. In Old Testament times, the Jews kiiled the prophets sent by God who kept calling them to repent of their idolatry and turn from the abominable ways of their neighbors, the pagan Canaanites.
Today, Israel is secular and an apostate state comprising Jews that are orthodox, cultural, secular and atheistic regarding God and the Torah. God is low in priority or entirely absent in the modern house of Jacob. This will remain the case until the appointed time when the fullness of the Gentiles is complete (Rom 11:25) and the remnant Jews will call upon the Name of Jesus and will acknowledge Him as Yeshua Hamashiach (Messiah Jesus) the Anointed One, leading to His Second Coming. |

This passage in summary says that God has determined seventy Jewish calendar weeks or 490 (70x7) Jewish years (Dan 9:24) where 1 Jewish day is equal to 1 Jewish year, or 490 years for every year Israel failed to keep the 'agricultural' Sabbath. When the 70 weeks/490 years are complete, Israel will be redeemed for having transgressed against the Lord. However, before this could happen, Messiah Jesus the Prince was crucified (Dan 9:26).
So one week of the 70 weeks or 7 years remains unfulfilled. God has appointed these 7 years to take place and a prince of the Gentiles who is the Antichrist, will arise and confirm a covenant of peace with Israel and her enemies (Dan 9:27) at the beginning of this 'outstanding' 70th week. At the midpoint of this 7 year week, which will be midpoint for the remaining second half 3.5 years, the Antichrist will stand on the wing of the third temple and demand to be worshipped as God. |

"And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days. Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days." Dan 12:11-12 |
Daniel prophesies a future (Dan 9:22-27) for Israel when the process to redeem Israel begins. Dan 12 offers key miletones in the timeline to the end. The Tribulation will take place over 7 Jewish years or 2,520 Jewish days. Within this time frame, there is the "time, times, and an half" in Dan 12:7 or three and half Jewish calendar years equivalent to 1,260 days during the time of the Antichrist. And then there is the 1,290 days (Dan 12:11) where 30 days are added on at the end of the 1,260 days, after which there will be another 45 days (Dan 12:12) before the end.
We may be reading these verses and do not feel any immediate relevance but there will be people alive at that time that will be directly impacted by these milestones and having this knowledge is the only hope to hold on to while counting down the days left to Christ's return to end the nightmare (Isa 26:21). |

At the mid-point of the 7-year Tribulation, the Antichrist will desecrate the Third Temple and demand that the Jews and the world worship him as God. From the day that the Jewish high priest begins to officially offer the daily sacrifice in the newly set up temple through to when the Antichrist desecrates the temple and abolishes temple sacrifice until the day the sanctuary will be cleansed of the unclean feet of the Gentile followers of the Antichrist in power who will trod under foot the temple sanctuary, it will be 2,300 Jewish days (6 years, 4 months and 20 days). |

The woman "clothed with the sun", having "a crown of twelve stars" is Israel and her twelve tribes. The "great red dragon" is Satan. The "man child" who will "rule all nations with a rod of iron" is King Jesus who will secure the safety of the remnant Jews. They will be led to hide in a safe place that God has prepared and there they will remain secure for 1,260 Jewish calendar days. They will form part of the new citizens for when the Lord returns in His Second Coming to set up the Millennial Kingdom on earth. |

The battle on earth for the souls of men first began in heaven. The archangel Michael will lead the two thirds of angels loyal to God to war with the red dragon Satan and one third of angels who joined in the rebellion against God. The latter are defeated and cast out of heaven to earth. The scenes of battle of good vs evil shifts to earth. |

Not surprisingly, Satan is filled with rage at his defeat and subsequent demotion to earth out of heaven. He knows that he cannot defeat God. Satan also knows Bible prophecy and knows that he will be imprisoned in the bottomless pit for 1,000 years and then cast into the Lake of Fire. Satan goes all out and pursues any Jew that follows the God of Jacob and those that have turned to Jesus. |

"And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the Lord, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on My Name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is My people: and they shall say, The Lord is my God." Zec 13:8-9 |
When the Antichrist begins his reign of terror, the archangel Michael will be assigned to protect the remnant of Israel (Dan 12:1, Zec 13:8-9) whose names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life. If the Antichrist appears tomorrow and begins his violent attacks on the Jewish population in Israel, and based on the proportion of Jews given in Zec 13:8-9, some 4,600,000 Jews ("two parts") will be killed by the Antichrist.
God's covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob the ancient fathers of Israel has never changed. Because of Jewish rejection of Jesus, it will be during this "time of trouble, such as never was" (v1) that God will use the Antichrist to cause the fleeing and frightened remnant of about 2,300,000 Jews ("the third part") 'to be tried' by fire, namely the terrible ordeal that will bring them to call upon the Name Jesus. Israel's promised redemption will be fulfilled. They will be kept alive during the three and half year Great Tribulation to enter the Millennial Kingdom for the glory of Israel to be established amongst the new citizens and the Name of Christ spoken on their lips. Thus will be fulfilled, Matt 23:39 "For I say unto you, Ye shall not see Me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is He that cometh in the Name of the Lord." |

The Lord's judgment in the form of His most severe wrath upon the earth will be unleashed during a time called the Great Tribulation. Note that the 'great tribulation' are the very same words in the Greek in Matt 24:21 as in Rev 7:14. |

This second beast is the False Prophet, a global religious leader that will deny Jesus (1 John 4:3). The False Prophet is the beast that causes everyone to:
1) worship the Antichrist as God
2) receive the mark of he beast in their right hand or forehead
Satan's obsession to be worshipped is enforced through deception, fear and control. Man can be quite resilient but ultimately, needs food and water to survive. The mark of the beast has as its end goal the submission of man to worship Satan the dragon. Those whose names are not written in the Lamb's Book of Life will be blind to the mark and will take it, resulting in eternal damnation but before that, will be subjected to the 7 Trumpet and 7 vials of God's wrath.
The break neck speed of technology powered by the likes of AI and Blockchain and other innovations is already putting in place the building blocks for a globally advanced e-transaction system that will one day be totally efficient and robust for worldwide deployment.
The mark of the beast system will come under control of one man, the beast of Revelation, and he will be identifiable by his '666' imprint. It will be obvious and conspicuous so that no man can use the excuse that he was tricked into accepting the mark or had no idea that this is a satanically driven system. In fact, Rev 13:18 says that if God grants us the wisdom and understanding, we can calculate the number of the beast and discern its early stage development.
Pre-millennialist Christians have studied the Bible and conclude that there will be a Pre-Tribulation Rapture and Christ will snatch up His true church-bride BEFORE His Tribulation wrath begins. This is covered in greater detail in 'TR4. The Day of the Lord' and the section 'TT2. The Rapture of the Bride of Christ' on this site. |

Another significant reference to God's wrath is in this passage. This speaks to all people who worship the Antichrist and/or his image and/or receives the mark in his right hand or forehead. Once the mark is taken, it cannot be removed and that person is damned and is unable to repent and be saved. Eternal torment in the Lake of Fire awaits because he made a choice to follow the Antichrist even if it is out of fear for his life. Remember that the martyrs were subject to the same threats but did not retreat but gave up their lives for Chriist. |

And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs." Rev 14:19-20 |
1,600 furlongs is 200 miles/322km which is the distance between New York and Washington DC, or Singapore and Kuala Lumpur the Malaysian capital. The height of a horse's bridle from the ground is around 5 feet/1.5m. In Rev 14:19-20, the verses point out the enormous amount of blood that will flow when God comes against the world at that time. |

Contrast this with Rev 13:4 when the world "worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?"
At a certain point, It becomes evident to the world that the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ is most powerful and that Satan and his Antichrist beast is of no match. The wrath of God is not just limited to a single day of the Lord but sums up the judgment events including the 7 Seals, 7 Trumpets and the 7 Vials of God's wrath in Revelation. The Bible reveals that out of the Tribulation, approximately 4,000,000,000 (4 billion) Christ-rejecting sinners or half of the world's current population will perish as a result of the plagues. Kings and mighty men will be frightened at the appearance of Christ and know His great wrath. They would rather take their chances by calling on an avalanche to hide them. Physically hidden or not, it will be in vain as Christ will search out every soul for judgment. |

In the meantime, God is working on the remnant Jews to open their eyes and turn their hearts with deep repentance to Yeshua Hamashiach, Jesus the Messiah (Acts 5:30-31).
The "two days" and "the third day" in Hosea 6:2 is interesting. Knowing in 2 Peter 3:8 of God's timeline where "one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day." how can we understand this prophecy? It has been some 2,000 years from when Jesus first came and rode into Israel. Could these 2,000 years be the "two days" Hosea 6:2 speaks of leading to the soon raising of Israel to see Jesus as He is. This will be the same experience of born again believers who will see Jesus as He is (1 John 3:2). Are we the generation that will witness "the third day" of Christ's Second Coming and the 1,000 year Millennial Kingdom reign of Christ on earth? |

The most important prophecy in this passage is found in Eze 37:22 and Eze 37:24. The "one king shall be King to them all" and "David My Servant shall be king over them" is none other than Jesus who is both royalty and high priest (Acts 5:30-31). |

"And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection." Rev 20:4-5 |
Out of the Tribulation will be the righeous who did not take the mark of the beast and who had boldly refused to worship the beast or his image, and the Christian martyrs who were saved during the Tribulation and bravely evangelized the Gospel. They will be resurrected and given glorified bodies to reign with Christ in the Millennial Kingdom. |
