Description

Prov 25:2 says, "It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter." In the same way that we would go out of our way to research something we are really interested in, we can go all the way to the throne room to unceasingly seek understanding.

Just as the disciples had the privilege of a private audience with Jesus to find out the meaning of the parables (Matt 13:11-12) we are now children of God (1 John 3:1-2) with the liberty to go to the Lord. Here are some tips from the Bible.

  1. Desire with all your heart Scriptural Knowledge and Understanding.
"My son, if thou wilt receive My words, and hide My commandments with thee; So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding; Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God. For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of His mouth cometh knowledge and understanding." Prov 2:1-6

  2. Adopt a posture of obedient love, deep thankfulness and awe.
"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction." Prov 1:7

  3. Be genuinely humble and do not let your pride get in the way of saying to the Teacher that you do not understand.
"The meek will He guide in judgment: and the meek will He teach His way." Ps 25:9

  4. For Christians who are not familiar with the Holy Spirit, know that God has sent His Spirit to indwell in us to be our Teacher.
"But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in My Name, He shall teach you all things," John 14:26

  5. Take your time to meditate on every word in each verse.
"Mine eyes prevent the night watches, that I might meditate in Thy word." Ps 119:148

  6. Rightly divide the Word.
"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." 2 Tim 2:15

God wants us to be fully aware of Bible prophecy for very good reason. We are to walk a life with Kingdom purpose (Eph 2:10) that glorifies the Lord. For this reason we hope that as you read this site, it will inspire in your heart a response to Plan in Christ | Prioritize in Christ | Persevere in Christ.

  • "If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with Him in glory." Col 3:1-4

  • "Cause me to hear Thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in Thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto Thee." Ps 143:8

Last days prophetic signposts such as those in the heavens and on the earth, including those that the world calls 'climate change', are getting more unusual and more intense as "the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now." (Rom 8:22-23). The Lord has not meant for us to be fearful or anxious. Knowing this, have we started to Plan our way forward that is increasingly Christ-centred and less self-centred?

Doomsday preppers plan for society's collapse. As Bible believing Christians, our best preparation is to put on Christ. The Bible teaches that we begin by going before the Lord with prayer and petition for what He will have us do according to His instructions found in His Word. If we try to devise our own plan, we will be inclined to serve our own interests. If we look to the Lord for His plan, are placing the Lord first and when He takes precedence, He will cause us to know the way wherein we should walk (Ps 143:8) in light of the unusual times we live in.

  • "See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is." Eph 5:15-17

Most of us can agree that time flies. Eph 5:15-17 instructs us to be vigilant of the times we live in and to Prioritize our days wisely. The Lord urges us to redeem our time prudently according to the Lord's will as spelt out in His Word.

We can consider how to be more purposeful and intentional so that we can engage brethen and non-believers alike for Kingdom-centered outcomes. 1 Cor 15:59 calls us to be "stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord" as our labour is not in vain in the Lord.

  • "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us." Rom 8:35-37

The Lord warns of an increase in deception, false teachings, godlessness and persecution in the last days. The antichrist spirit is at work and will attempt to hinder non-believers from seeking the Truth and scheme against believers who wish to truly follow Jesus. Within the church can be found liberal and 'progressive' pseudo Christians in sheep's clothing. They insidiously deconstruct the Bible, causing a shift towards confusion and carnality, away from God's truth, righteousness and holiness.

The day has arrived that when we adhere to sound doctrine, point out spurious teachings and pose legitimate questions to even authority figures in the church, we face a push back from within. We will need to Persevere in Biblical truth just as Timothy was charged to do (1 Tim 6:20-21). The Lord's grace and counsel will help us to navigate such trials and challenges. We are reminded from 1 John 5:4 that "For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith."

We encourage you to pray for the Lord's counsel as you Plan and Prioritize the days ahead and the strength to Persevere against any headwinds, with grace and the peace of God, and for God to remove the veil of preconceived views or prejudices and guide you into His light as you explore His prophetic Word.
