God has intended for us to perceive the signs of the End Times. Some believers have gone overboard and react to every war in the Middle East involving Israel as the time already arrived.
Look at the big picture and realize that there must be pivotal events that indicate how near we are to the end.
For example, in 2 Thess 2:1-3, the Bible points to two pivotal signs that must take place before the return of the Lord, "2 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto Him, 2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;"
Our suggestion to our interested brethen is to study God's Word very carefully and use Biblically sound resources and references to see God's plan as He has revealed and not be swayed by doomsday preachers and those who cause unnecessary panic and fear which the Lord has not intended.
Remember that God will care for His church in the End Times and His assurance is given, "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." 2 Tim 1:7

Sno | Verses | Remarks |
1 | "1 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and His disciples came to Him for to shew Him the buildings of the temple. 2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. 3 And as He sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto Him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of Thy coming, and of the end of the world?" Matt 24:1-3 | The disciples were just hearing Jesus speaking to the multitude and to them describing the wicked behavior of the scribes and Pharisees. After hearing that the majestic temple would be destroyed, they realized the gravity of the situation and responded with thoughtful questions; it cannot get more serious than asking about "the end of the world". |
2 | "4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in My Name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows." Matt 24:4-8 | The beginning of birth pains for a woman was an experience that people could relate to and understand. Jesus used "the beginning of sorrows" to similarly describe a coming time of events that would be painful and then increase in frequency and intensity in a short period of time, just like what happens when a baby is about to be birthed. The Lord listed the signposts that indicate the "beginning" namely, 1. deception that the Messiah has come 2. wars and rumours of wars 3. nation rising against nation 4. kingdom against kingdom 5. famines in various places 6. pestilences in various places 7. earthquakes in various places. |
3 | "22 For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. 23 Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body." Romans 8:22-23 | A mother in labor is in heavy discomfort because of muscular contraction and strong cramping in the abdomen, groin, and back. She finds it difficult to be calm and restful given the labor pains. A picture of creation groaning and laboring is likewise presented. |
4 | "2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. 3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. 4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief." 1 Thess 5:2-4 | The beginning of sorrows will be followed by an overwhelming period called the Tribulation and Great Tribulation culminating in the day of the Lord. This time is also known as the time of Jacob's trouble (Jer 30:6-8). Even though Israel is today in a relative time of overall 'peace' in a sea of Middle Eastern unrest, it still has headaches to deal with in the form of radical terrorist organizations and the greatest threat to its existence from the Iranian regime. The one time when Israel can truly say "peace and safety" is when the Antichrist confirms the seven year peace covenant which includes the ultimate fulfillment of the rebuilding of the third temple. Peace and the temple would be a prayer come true. But it is not to be and the Antichrist will turn on Israel and aim to utterly wipe out the Jewish people. |
